PONY UP PRESS
Pony Up Press is the name of the business I created while in college as an outlet for my artwork. Through Pony Up, I designed, produced, and sold various accessories, apparel and decor. I sold goods through Shopify and in person at art fairs. If you visit my Instagram, still lovingly called “ponyuppress”, you can find all of my work and more.
Enamel Pins & Stickers
Working on my own brand helped me develop skills in graphic design and merchandise design, all while improving my illustration skills. It was through Pony Up that I found a passion for designing apparel and accessories. I sold my products online and at craft fairs, as well as working with clients on commissions.
Vegas Cowgirl Collection
I designed these bags and had them sewn by a third party. Each bag featured a unique textile pattern designed by me and a matching giant scrunchie. I love designing textiles because they combine my love of illustration with graphic design, and in the end a functional product can be created. Like most designers, I am also a fashion lover. While pattern-making isn’t my forte, I love to imagine what the fabric I design can become.

The theme of this collection, Vegas Cowgirl, was designed to bring together the Wild West and the neon glitz and glamour of the Vegas strip. Bright colors, whimsical illustrations, and simple silhouettes made for an eye-catching accessory. I worked with another business owner, Amira Elhafsi, to source all our materials from other small businesses. (Photos by Amira Elhafsi).
